How to Train Your Dragon 2 was great. It had lots of action and surprises. Like when Drago (voiced by Djimon Hounsou) was trying to capture dragons and hurt Hiccup’s family. It had a lot of action because the dragons were fighting and flying around and Stoick (voiced by Gerard Butler) was fighting Drago with swords. The action was fun to watch and it kept the story moving forward. There were no parts that were not important to the movie’s plot and flow. It had a good plot and story line. The only thing I didn’t like was when Ruffnut (voiced by Kristen Wiig) was making stupid love comments about Snotlout, Fishlegs, and Eret. I didn’t like it because I thought it made her sound idiotic.
This movie was in 3D and it was great. The 3D made the movie come alive. It made you feel like you were in the movie. Like when the dragons were flying over the ocean it made you feel like you were flying too. The 3D made the movie feel even bigger and all around you. Every part of the movie, from start to finish, was exploding with 3D. So I suggest you see it in 3D for a better experience.
Some of my favorite characters are Hiccup who is very brave and strong. He knows what he wants and what is best for his town. He loves his dragon Toothless. Hiccup cares about his city, but he wants to explore more of the world. Toothless is a dragon that is very cute. He protects Hiccup and loves him to death. He is brave and defends his friends. Stoick, who is kind and puts other people before himself, leads the city. He is powerful, brave, and wants what he thinks is best for the city. And last, and definitely least, is Drago who is mean and only wants power. He doesn’t care about other people or dragons.
I think you should go see How to Train Your Dragon 2 because it’s a great family story. Even though it’s sad in parts it has a happy ending. It was a very unpredictable movie that is worth seeing.
