Halloween Ends led the box-office weekend as it bested Smile by $28.9 million, sending the previous number one film to a very distant second-place finish.
Last weekend’s fifth-place film, Don’t Worry Darling, fell to sixth this weekend with $2.2 million, bringing the film’s four-week total to $42.4 million. This allowed Barbarian to hold onto seventh place with $1.4 million. The film now boasts a six-week total of $39.0 million. Similarly, Bros held its ground in the eighth spot with $920,000. This gives the film a three-week total of $10.8 million. Clinging onto the ninth spot was the horror film Terrifier 2 which added $850,000 over the weekend to bring its two-week tally to $2.3 million. Finally, Top Gun: Maverick held the final spot on the top ten with $685,000 over the weekend, bringing its overall total to $715.8 million, firmly ensconced as the fifth highest domestic gross of all time.
