Once again, a new film has debuted atop the box-office weekend as Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire easily defeated second-place Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire by a margin of $64.3 million.
After claiming fifth place last weekend, Arthur the King fell to sixth this weekend, where it added $2.4 million to lift its three-week total to $19.1 million for Lionsgate Films. Despite dropping to seventh place, Late Night with the Devil still managed to take in $2.2 million in its second week of release to brings its overall total to $6.3 million for IFC Films. Debuting in eighth- and ninth-place respectively were the Indian dramatic comedies, Tillu Square and Crew. Tillu Square claimed eighth place with $1.9 million to show for its debuted weekend while Crew finished in ninth with $1.5 million. Finally, after a seventh-place finish last weekend, Imaginary fell to tenth place where it brought in $1.4 million for Lionsgate Films, lifting its four-week total to $26.2 million.
Again, the final three films of last weekend’s top ten were forced from this week’s list. After four weeks, A24’s Love Lies Bleeding leaves the top ten with $7.2 million in pocket. Over the course of its release, Cabrini managed to garner a total of $18.1 million for Angel Studios. Finally, after seven weeks, Bob Marley: One Love exits the top ten leaving Paramount Pictures $96.3 million richer.
