Black Panther: Wakanda Forever held onto the top spot of the box-office weekend for the second week in a row by besting the second-place film by $58.3 million.
Debuting in sixth-place was the drama She Said which brought in $2.3 million in its first weekend of release. Falling three spots to land in seventh place was the family-friendly Lyle, Lyle, Crocodile with $1.9 million. This gives the film a seven-week total of $43.2 million. Also dropping three spots was the horror film Smile which finished in eighth place over the weekend with $2.3 million, bringing its eight-week total to a surprising $104.6 million. Last weekend’s sixth-place film, Prey for the Devil, was relegated to a ninth-place finish with $935,000 over the last three days. This gives the film an overall four-week total of $18.4 million. Finally, after finishing in seventh last weekend, The Banshees of Inisherin managed to bring in $703,000 and claim the final spot of the top ten. This lifted the film’s five-week total to around $7.2 million.
Three films were dispatched from the box-office top ten this weekend as last week’s eighth-, ninth-, and tenth-place films all feel from this week’s list. After two weeks, One Piece Film: Red has earned $12.8 million before bowing out of the top ten. Six weeks into its release, Till has amassed a total of $8.5 million before succumbing to newer releases. Finally, in its seventh week of release, Tár has taken in a total of $4.9 million.
