For a third consecutive week, Black Panther: Wakanda Forever held the top spot of the box-office weekend by a considerable margin. This weekend, it did so by leading the second-place film by $34 million.
Dropping two spots to finish in sixth-place was Black Adam which added $3.4 million over the weekend to bring its six-week total to $163.0 million. Debuting in the top ten in the seventh spot was Steven Spielberg’s The Fabelmans which brought in $2.2 million as it benefitted from a wider release over the weekend to bring its three-week total to $3.4 million. Also making a debut in the top ten was Bones and All which finished in eighth-place with $2.2 milllion and a two-week total of $3.7 million. Falling from fifth-place to ninth was the Julia Roberts/George Clooney film Ticket to Paradise which earned $1.9 million in its sixth-weekend of release to bring its overall total to $65.1 million. Finally, after finishing in third place last weekend, Homecoming dropped to tenth place with $1.6 million over the weekend, raising its two-week total to $13.5 million.
Half of last weekend’s films were banished from the top ten over the weekend as the films in the sixth through tenth spots were all sent packing. She Said departs after two weeks in release with a total of $4.3 million. Meanwhile, Lyle, Lyle, Crocodile drops from the top ten after amassing $45.1 million over its first eight weeks of release. The horror film Smile departs the top ten with a nine-week total of $105.5 million. Prey for the Devil leaves after bringing in $19.1 million for the studio over five weeks. Finally, The Banshees of Inisherin departs the top ten with a six-week total of $7.9 million.
