Dropping two spots landed Love Lies Bleeding in eighth place where it added $1.6 million for A24, lifting its three-week total to $5.7 million. Last weekend’s fifth-place film, Cabrini, dropped four spots this weekend to finish in ninth place with $1.4 million. Finally, after finishing in seventh place last weekend, Bob Marley: One Love landed in the tenth spot this weekend where it added $1.1 million, giving the Paramount Pictures product a six-week total of $95.3 million.
Three films were forced out of the box-office weekend top ten over the last three days as last weekend’s eight-, ninth-, and tenth-place films all failed to make this weekend’s list. Bleecker Street Media’s One Life dropped from the top ten after bringing in $3.5 million for the studio. Meanwhile, after only two weeks, The American Society of Magical Negroes departs the top ten leaving Focus Features $2.2 million richer.
