A new film stands on top of the box-office weekend as Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning Part One debuted at number one, $29.2 million ahead of the second-place finisher.
Landing in sixth-place, after finishing in fifth last weekend, was Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse, where it added $6.1 million, bringing its seven-week total to $368.8 million. Gaining a spot and finishing in seventh-place was Transformers: Rise of the Beasts as it brought in $3.4 million over the weekend to raise its six-week tally to $152.8 million. Swapping spots with that film was No Hard Feelings, which fell a spot to land in eighth-place with $3.3 million over the weekend. This gives the film a four-week total of $46.6 million. Dropping three spots to finish in ninth-place with $2.6 million over the weekend was Joy Ride. The film now lays dubious claim to a two-week total of $10.6 million. Finally, The Little Mermaid fell to tenth-place from ninth last weekend with $2.4 million earned this week, giving the film an eight-week total of $293.9 million.
Only one film was pushed out of the weekend box office as Ruby Gillman, Teenage Kraken was displaced after landing in tenth-place last week. The film departs the box-office weekend with a three-week total of $14.4 Million.
