Absolutely Fabulous: The Movie Has Release Date and New Teaser Trailer


Fans of the early 1990s British sitcom Absolutely Fabulous have reason to be excited these days. Fox Searchlight recently set loose a new teaser trailer on the world. The producers of the film also confirmed a 2016 release date of July 22.

Jennifer Saunders and Joanna Lumley in Absolutely Fabulous: The MovieLocation filming in the U.K. and France is complete for the film that finds, appropriate for their big screen debut, Edina and Patsy (Jennifer Saunders and Joanna Lumley) still oozing glitz and glamour, living the high life they are accustomed to; shopping, drinking and clubbing their way around London’s trendiest hotspots.

Blamed for a major incident at a fashionable launch party, they become entangled in a media storm and are relentlessly pursued by the paparazzi. Fleeing penniless to the glamorous playground of the super-rich, the French Riviera, they hatch a plan to make their escape permanent and live the high life forever more!

The film, which was written by Jennifer Saunders and directed by Mandie Fletcher, will also see the return of original cast members Julia Sawalha as Saffy Monsoon, Jane Horrocks as Bubble, and June Whitfield as Mother. Other stars reportedly set to join the Ab Fab universe include Emma Button, Kate Moss, Dawn French, Rebel Wilson, Cara Delevingne, Joan Collins, and Kim Kardashian.

He currently lives in the Detroit area with his wife and their dogs.
