CONTRIBUTING TO CINEMANERDZ

Are you always voicing your opinion about the latest movie releases? Are you a film nerd, a self-starter? Are you always arguing the worth of this director over that director with your friends? Are you obsessed with the quality of your home theater? Would you like to hear your editorial voice broadcast on the internet?

If you answered yes to any of the above questions, you may have what it takes to be a CinemaNerd, so we invite you to read about the volunteer positions that are currently available below.

NEWS WRITER

We want someone who is able to produce one or two movie news articles per day. The person should be able to articulate their perspective on film/TV news in an entertaining and interesting way.

FILM REVIEWER

We are looking for someone who loves to write and express themselves about a film they have just seen. We are looking for a critic who can dig beneath the surface of a film and discuss what they see there. We are also looking for someone who can potentially attend advanced press screenings in the metro-Detroit area (please note that this is not a requirement for the position, but if you are not located in this area, then you are on your own when seeing theatrical movie upon release).

DVD and/or BLU-RAY REVIEWER

We are looking for a writer who loves to express themselves about a DVD or Blu-ray disc they have just watched. The reviewer also needs to watch all the extras on a disc or discs and comment of them as well as the picture and sound quality of the film.

EDITORIAL and/or ESSAY WRITER

We are looking for someone who is able to produce editorials and/or essays on film on a regular basis. The editorials or essays can be on any film subject and could be in the form of lists, commentary, or others commonly used on the site.
