Again, a new release debuted atop the box-office weekend as "Shazam! Fury of the Gods" enjoyed a comfortable $13 million margin over second-place "Scream VI."

Given the success of its namesake, it is discouraging that "Shazam! Fury of the Gods" is equally, if not more, disappointing than previous entries of the DCECU.

Anchored by a strong lead performance from Willem Dafoe, director Vasilis Katsoupis’ "Inside" proves to be an engaging and engrossing thriller.
