Yet again, a new film has debuted in the top spot of the box-office weekend as Hoppers claimed first place by a margin of $28.7 million.

"Hoppers" posterWalt Disney Studios Motion Pictures enjoyed a $46.0 million opening weekend for its Hoppers. This was more than enough for the film to claim the top spot of the box-office weekend top ten. Second place belonged to Sream 7 which dropped from first in its second weekend of release to earn $17.3 million, giving the Paramount Pictures International release an overall total of $93.4 million. Meanwhile, IMAX’s The Bride! debuted in third place with $7.3 million taken in over the weekend. Following a second-place finish last weekend, GOAT fell to fourth place with $6.6 million, giving the Sony Pictures Releasing product a four-week total of $83.8 million. Also falling two spots was Wuthering Heights, which finishing in fifth place with $3.8 million. This brings the film’s four-week total to $78.8 million for Warner Brothers.

Holding steady in sixth place, Crime 101 took in $2.1 million to bring its four-week total to $33.6 million for Amazon MGM Studios. Meanwhile, Walt Disney Studios Motion Pictures saw its Send Help climb a spot to land in seventh place this weekend where it added $1.6 million to lift its six-week total to $62.7 million. This move pushed Lionsgate’s I Can Only Imagine 2 down a rung to eighth place where the film brought in $1.525 million over the weekend – the film now claims a three-week tally of $16.2 million. Falling four spots to land in ninth place, the Neon release of EPiC: Elvis Presley in Concert made $1.523 million in its third week in theaters to lift its overall total to $10.9 million. Finally, after a brief absence from the top ten, the Sony Pictures Releasing product Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba Infinity Castle crept back into the top ten and claim the final spot of this weekend’s list with $1.3 million. The Sony Pictures Releasing film now sports a twenty-six week total of $135.8 million.

Three films were pushed out of the top ten over the last three days. After a fourth-place finish last weekend, Twenty One Pilots: More Than We Ever Imagined leaves the top ten with $4.3 million taken in for Trafalgar Releasing. With its ninth-place ranking seven days ago, A24’s How to Make a Killing dropped out of the top ten after bringing in a total of $7.5 million over the last three weeks. Finally, with fifteen weeks under its belt, Zootopia 2 has made a total of $427.3 million for Walt Disney Studios Motion Pictures prior to failing to make the top ten again this weekend.
