Despite some problems, director Kenneth Branagh's "Death on the Nile" plays as a well-crafted travelogue that happens to have a reasonably engaging murder mystery at its center.

Unfortunately, the new film "The King’s Man" offers very little of the charm, wit, and entertainment value that was far more plentiful in its predecessors.

Guillermo del Toro's "Nightmare Alley" is an effective exercise in the art of storytelling through the use of exquisite character development and execution.
