M. Night Shyamalan’s latest hybrid of drama, horror, and suspense is a turgid tangle of a story that offers very little of anything worthwhile in the various genres it contends to belong to.

"A Quiet Place Part II" is one of those rare sequels that proves to be every bit as good as its predecessor, if not infinitely better.

The bittersweet earnestness of the film, along with the connection eventually established between mother and son make French Exit a worthwhile endeavor.
