'Evil Dead Rise' takes the franchise's simple premise and centers the terror on a family stuck in a high-rise apartment for an energetic, gory and fun entry.

Although it may not play as a straight-forward horror film nor as a strict comedy, "Renfield" does deliver enough entertainment to be successful in both genres.
