Lucy in the Sky Teaser Trailer Starring Natalie Portman Released

Fox Searchlight has released the first trailer for Lucy in the Sky, starring Natalie Portman as astronaut Lucy Cola. In the film, Portman plays an astronaut who returns to Earth after a transcendent experience during a recent mission and begins to lose touch with reality in a world that now seems far too small to contain her after suffering a breakdown of sorts.

The film is directed by Noah Hawley (the creator of “Fargo” and “Legion”) in his feature debut. The film, loosely based on astronaut Lisa Nowak’s alleged romance with fellow astronaut William Oefelein, is written by Brian C Brown, Elliott DiGuiseppi, and Noah Hawley. Starring alongside Portman are Jon Hamm, Dan Stevens, Zazie Beetz, Pearl Amanda Dickson, and Ellen Burstyn.

As you can see, the film looks pretty darn good. Here’s hoping that the final product delivers on the promise of the trailer. But, please judge for yourself and let us know what you think.
