The Last Witch Hunter Official “Live Forever” Trailer Released
Vin Diesel returns to theaters this fall in the highly anticipated new film, The Last Witch Hunter – and he’s out to destroy the most powerful witches that ever walked the earth. Kaulder (Diesel) is the greatest soldier of the Axe and Cross. He is joined in his cinematic quest to rid the world of witches by a star-studded cast that boasts Elijah Wood, Rose Leslie, Ólafur Darri Ólafsson, Julie Engelbrecht, and Michael Caine.
There’s a part of me that enjoys just about anything Vin Diesel appears in. For the most part, everything ends up entertaining. Yeah, he can sometimes seem a little full of himself and look like he’s taking things a bit too far over the top, but I always get the impression that he knows exactly what he’s doing in those situations and you can’t fault a guy for simply trying to entertain people. That being said, anyone else think this sounds an awful lot like Highlander?
ABOUT THE FILM:
THE LAST WITCH HUNTER: The modern world holds many secrets, but the most astounding secret of all is that witches still live amongst us; vicious supernatural creatures intent on unleashing the Black Death upon the world. Armies of witch hunters battled the unnatural enemy across the globe for centuries, including KAULDER, a valiant warrior who managed to slay the all-powerful QUEEN WITCH, decimating her followers in the process. In the moments right before her death, the QUEEN curses KAULDER with her own immortality, forever separating him from his beloved wife and daughter in the afterlife. Today KAULDER is the only one of his kind remaining, and has spent centuries hunting down rogue witches, all the while yearning for his long-lost loved ones. However, unbeknownst to KAULDER, the QUEEN WITCH is resurrected and seeks revenge on her killer causing an epic battle that will determine the survival of the human race.
