"Halloween Ends" is a messy end to Michael Myers, and its plot choices may anger fans. But when it embraces its slasher identity, it's a bit of dark fun.

The "Hellraiser" remake is a gory and visually striking reimaging of Clive Barker's original, but is so focused on ripping off flesh it never burrows under it.
