The top two films of the last few weeks have again swapped spaces atop the box-office weekend top ten as Zootopia 2 has reclaimed the top spot from Five Nights at Freddy’s 2 by a $6.8 million margin.

“ZOOTOPIA 2” posterIn its third weekend of release, the Walt Disney Studios Motion Pictures sequel Zootopia 2 crept back into first place with $26.3 million, bringing the film’s overall total to $259.1 million. Meanwhile, Universal Pictures International’s Five Nights at Freddy’s 2 was pushed to second place where it took in $19.2 million, to raise its two-week total to $95.5 million. Third place remained steady as Wicked: For Good held the spot with $8.6 million, giving the Universal Pictures release a four-week total of $312.1 million. After finishing in ninth place last weekend, Dhurandhar leapt to a fourth-place finish this weekend where it brought in $3.5 million for Moviegoers Entertainment while increasing the film’s two-week total to $7.9 million. Lionsgate saw Now You See Me: Now You Don’t retain fifth place with $2.4 million secured over the weekend, giving the film a five-week total of $59.3 million.

The GKIDS release of Jujutsu Kaisen: Execution crept into the top ten in its second weekend of release to claim sixth place with $2.102 million, giving the film an overall tally of $14.5 million. Meanwhile, Walt Disney Studios Motion Pictures saw Ella McCay debut in seventh place where it brought in $2.1 million for the studio. The 2025 re-release of How the Grinch Stole Christmas made $1.9 million for Universal Pictures on its way to taking over eighth place. Falling two spots, to land in ninth place, was the A24 release Eternity which added $1.8 million over the weekend to lift its three-week total to $13.1 million. In tenth place, the 2025 re-release of Stanley Kubrick’s The Shining staked its claim with $1.6 million taken in over the weekend.

A total of three films fell out of the top ten this weekend. After two weeks in release and a sixth-place finish last weekend, the re-edited Kill Bill: The Whole Bloody Affair dropped out of the top ten with $5.5 million in the bank for Lionsgate. Meanwhile, Focus Features saw Hamnet fall out of the top ten after an eighth-place finish last weekend, with the film sporting a three-week total of $7.0 million. Finally, after six weeks in release and a tenth-place finish last weekend, Predator: Badlands couldn’t crack the top ten this week, but has managed to bring in $90 million for Walt Disney Studios Motion Pictures.
