Ghostface is back in "Scream VI," taking the meta horror to New York for a sequel that delivers some thrills but collapses under its franchise obligations.

For the second week in a row, "The Batman" eclipsed the box-office weekend by a vast amount, besting the second-place film by $56.7 million.

The Matt Reeves-directed "The Batman" debuted over the weekend, earning Warner Bros. $128.4 million, easily besting last week’s top film by $117.5 million.
